Column Of Heaven - “Mission From God” (SPHC 2012)
Let me first say, I was a huge The Endless Blockade fan.  HUGE.  I have a good chunk of there discography, got to see them play a few times, and spent a good portion of the last few years of my life enjoying them in some way.  I was super bummed to hear they called it quits, but conversely, I was super stoked to hear about Column Of Heaven, which is the next phase of some of EB’s members.
Somehow I missed out on getting copies of their first two demos, but I jumped at the chance to obtain this glorious slab of wax.  This Canadian crew called Column of Heaven really jump off where The Endless Blockade left off.  This record is a varied, and tremendous undertaking; an amazing blend of grindcore and power violence, with ample dashes of noise and discordant ambience peppered throughout.  Such a delicious concoction of sonic cruelty, any fan of grind or pv must purchase this.  NOW.  The Survivalist bandcamp page has this available for download at name your own price, so really you have no excuse.  I can’t wait until they tour the States so I can lose my mind to them live.  Fuck this record is good.
